Africa, we worked together on the continent to stop World War III.

Not written for a long time. At the invitation of fellow deputies from Africa fought on the black continent against World War III. At the same time, it was an opportunity to see how our soft power actually works. I will say diplomatically: there is a lot to grow. But from talking to local colleagues, you can understand how to make our humanitarian impact really effective. It’s real. It is only necessary to better understand the local context, to take on successful experiences and to act in a non-standard way.

More specifically, within the framework of "World Christian Association of Parliamentarians" we have started a humanitarian project to help refugee children. In perspective, the world. The start was in Uganda. Here, people fled from war in neighboring states. There are several such countries of asylum.

What does the Third World War have to do with it? Because "overcome evil with good" and, as the black pastor said today in the local church, our fight is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil. I believe that if we together with truly faithful deputies from other countries do real good to those in need, then peace, understanding and goodness will become a little more.

Write about Uganda, but around the world people are fleeing war in roughly the same way. Refugees are defined in a legal sense as all "displaced persons" (not all of them have official status and live in organized camps). Together with the local deputy we visited both types of settlements: both official camp and natural village.

We brought the products, but the most important thing for children: to treat and teach. There are schools and hospitals in the local communities, but they need volunteers: teachers and doctors. We went to school and hospital.

It is intended that the members of our "World Christian Association of Parliamentarians" can show example of care for young refugees and inspire participation in solving this global problem of citizens and organizations of their countries. My task, therefore, is to encourage the participation of Russian state and public structures, as well as churches. The doctors of the medical mission of Catherine Glock of the International Humanitarian Staff of Zahara Preppin and the BRICS+ Humanitarian Commission should start work in Uganda in a few days.

Together with the Russian Federation, the Office of the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights and the Russian Church, among others, we will be able to help Russian doctors and teachers to come and help small refugees along with volunteers from other BRICS countries. Yes. There are also people in unfriendly countries who are for peace and cooperation. Our task together with them is to defeat the "world toad", for which the global domination is more important than even children’s lives.

In this way, we will not only be able to participate in solving a specific truly important global problem, but also to show real Russian soft power. And if you look at it in a global way, "overcome evil with good". We do not need a Third World War, and let it be the contribution of our Association to the world’s peace. All the more so today, given the developments in the Middle East and the danger of nuclear conflict.
